IN THREE DAYS, Americans will go to the polls and cast their votes in one of the most hotly contested presidential elections.

With that in mind, both Clinton and Trump are deploying a few last-minute tactics to convince undecided voters to come over to their side.

Clinton’s trump card? (Pardon the pun.) A certain Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter.

Last night, Beyoncé and Jay-Z appeared at a Hillary Clinton rally in Cleveland, Ohio, and proudly declared that they were with her

About time.

Beyoncé delivered a speech in which she stressed the importance and significance of electing a female President.

There was a time when a woman’s opinion did not matter. If you were black, white, Mexican, Asian, Muslim, educated, poor or rich. If you were a woman, it did not matter. Less than one hundred years ago, women did not have the right to vote. Look how far we’ve come from having no voice to being on the brink of making history. Again. By electing the first woman president.

Eight years ago, I was so inspired to know that my nephew, a young black child, could grow up knowing his dreams could be realised by witnessing a black president in office. And now we have the opportunity to create more change. I want my daughter to grow up seeing a woman lead our country and know that her possibilities are limitless.

(Something tells us that Blue Ivy is already fully aware of the possibilities for women by virtue of the fact that Beyoncé is her Mam, but we’ll allow the sentiment.)
